Understanding Your Past, Present & Future Selves

Hopefully, you enjoyed the last episode where I provided affirmations for a daily harmonious lifestyle.


Let's explore three potential perspectives through which one might view themselves:


1. The Present Self:


   This is the "you" in the current moment, the one listening and receiving this response. 


Your present self is influenced by immediate thoughts, emotions, and experiences.


 It's the person engaged in daily activities and interacting with the world around them.


2. The Past Self:

   Your past self is the accumulation of your life experiences, memories, and the person you used to be.


 It includes your childhood, past achievements, mistakes, and the journey that led you to the present moment.


 Reflecting on your past self can provide insights into personal growth and development.


3. The Future Self:

   This is the version of you that you aspire to become. It's the self with goals, dreams, and potential accomplishments. 


Your current actions, and decisions influence your future self, and the steps you take toward personal and professional aspirations.


Recognizing these different facets of yourself can be a powerful tool for self-awareness and personal development. 


Embracing the present, learning from the past, and envisioning a positive future allows you to navigate life with a holistic understanding of who you are. 


It's important to acknowledge that these "selves" are interconnected, and your actions in the present shape both your past and future selves.


Also understanding that all 3 versions of yourself happen in a contemporaneous way shows how crucial even the most minuscule split second of a choice can spiral into an assortment of new choices that define or shape the entirety of your life.
